PACAS will take part in the Sixth SESAR Innovation Days.

This year’s edition of SIDs, hosted by the Technical University of Delft, will be held in The Netherlands on the 8–10th of November, 2016. We will bring and present a poster illustrating the preliminary results achieved so far. Keep following us for updates and more info on our participation in this event!

New deliverables submitted

We just submitted four new deliverables to the European Commission for review:

  • D2.2 “First release of the platform and guidelines” serves as a basis for initial tests in Validation, necessary to collect feedback to refine both process and platform;
  • D4.1 “Gap analysis of existing reasoning techniques and requirements for the ATM participatory architectural design” describes strengths and weaknesses of state-of-art model verification, thus helping define the direction for the development of the PACAS reasoning techniques;
  • D5.1 “Concept, Scenarios and Validation Plan” presents, in addition to the PACAS concept and the reference scenarios, the project stakeholders and the overall approach to validation, including validation objectives and planned activities; and
  • D6.2 “Exploitation plan” reports on future exploitation, multiplication and sustainability activities.

These deliverables will be available on the website as soon as they are approved. Meanwhile, you can see the full list of deliverables and download the public ones in the documents page.

Upcoming events

In the current phase of the project our team is actively conducting research about the foundational mechanisms of the PACAS approach, and in the following months will submit papers to prestigious scientific events. Such events include, for example, the Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE’17) and the International Working Conference on Requirements Engineering: Foundation for Software Quality (REFSQ 2017).

Furthermore, in line with the automated reasoning capabilities of the PACAS platform, members of the team are co-organizing the Third International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Requirements Engineering (AIRE’16) that will be held in Beijing, China in September 2016. Needless to say, we are also working toward sending contributions to the 2016 SESAR Innovation Days that will be held in Delft, The Netherlands in November 2016.

Highlights from the 1st Validation Workshop

On the 4th of July, 2016 the Consortium gathered in Rome for the 1st Validation workshop, aimed at identifying Air Traffic Management use cases needed to build up the participatory platform developed by PACAS.

The team focussed on identifying and thoroughly discussing the reference use case with the help of the Advisory Board members for ensuring its feasibility and realism.

1st Validation workshop

PACAS consortium will reunite on the 4th of July, 2016 in Rome (Italy) for the 1st Validation workshop, dedicated to collecting preliminary feedback on the platform and the use case.
The scope of this workshop is in fact to interview members of the Advisory Board and gather their feedback. After a brief introduction to the project, the Advisory Board will interact freely with the platform; focus groups will follow, in order to give the project the opportunity to collect feedback useful to take the project a step forward.

For further information on the workshop, contact Martina Ragosta.
